Monkee-Boy Web Design, Inc. is looking for an extremely talented front-end web developer to join our troop.

The primary responsibilities for this role will be assisting Monkee-Boy's web developers with site development, leading the ongoing maintenance and web mastering duties of Monkee-Boy clients' web and mobile sites, and being responsible for daily client communication and unprecedented client satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Unprecedented attention to detail and organization
  • Quick learner with the ability to take minimal direction and exceed expectations
  • Responsive to internal and external clients
  • Ability to modify and extend existing code
  • An expert level of HTML/CSS/Photoshop and are comfortable working in PHP environments
  • Proficiency in web standards:
    • tableless layout
    • progressive enhancement
    • clean, lightweight, responsive code
  • Ability to work with designers as well as other developers
  • Applicant MUST live in Austin area and work out of our office

Required Technical Skills:

  • Expert in HTML and CSS including an understanding of HTML5 and CSS3
  • High comfort level working in PHP environments
  • Very proficient in Javascript and experience with libraries (jQuery is a must)
  • Very proficient in WordPress development (themes, custom content types, feeds, plug-ins, etc.)
  • Experience in developing for/managing other CMS tools like Joomla, Expression Engine, and Drupal
  • Experience coding mobile and tablet web sites
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop
  • Experience with Subversioning (SVN) tools
  • Microsoft Office Basics
  • PC based work environment

Additional Skills:

  • Experience with Phone Gap or other mobile app development frameworks a plus
  • Experience with eCommerce systems a plus
  • Experience with AJAX scripting a plus
  • Familiarity with SQL systems

Compensation:
This position will be a full time position (contract or salaried). The candidate will be very competitively compensated based on work experience, demonstration of success & what they can bring to the table and will be able to participate in all employee incentive programs.
